The MALÅ GeoDrone 600 is a lightweight, 600 MHz airborne Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system designed for drone integration. It provides high-resolution subsurface imaging for utility detection, archaeology, glaciology, and geotechnical mapping — even in areas unreachable by ground vehicles.
Built with MALÅ HDR radar technology and autonomous data logging, the GeoDrone 600 delivers exceptional clarity and consistency in every mission. Its compact 2.7 kg frame and IP65 rating make it ideal for deployment on UAVs such as the DJI M350 RTK, M400, and M300 RTK.
Key highlights:
-
600 MHz centre frequency for high-resolution shallow subsurface imaging (up to ~4 m)
-
Integrated GNSS + data logger for precise positioning
-
Rugged IP65 construction for snow, ice, and field conditions
-
Seamless compatibility with SPH Engineering’s UgCS Integrated GPR Solution
-
MALÅ Controller App + Vision software for data visualization and analysis

MALÅ GeoDrone 600 FAQ
Under optimal conditions, the GeoDrone 600 can detect subsurface features up to approximately 4 meters deep in dry, low-conductivity soils. Depth may vary depending on terrain, soil composition, and moisture levels.
The system is optimized for medium-lift UAVs such as the DJI M350 RTK, M400, and M300 RTK. It can also be mounted on other drones capable of carrying payloads of 2.7 kg or more with stable hover performance.
You can use the MALÅ Controller App for real-time monitoring and MALÅ Vision for data processing and visualization. For flight planning and sensor integration, SPH Engineering’s UgCS Integrated GPR Solution is recommended.
