The SENSYS MagDrone R1 is an ultra-portable drone-mounted magnetometer engineered for UXO detection, buried infrastructure mapping, archaeology, and metal-object surveying. Designed for drones with a minimum 1 kg payload, the R1 allows operators to fly just centimeters above the surface, capturing precise magnetic data without risk of crash — even if it touches vegetation or terrain.
With a self-foldable mount, the R1 enables smooth take-off and landing and is ideal for missions requiring low-altitude magnetic surveying. Pair it with a DJI M350 RTK or M300 RTK, a SkyHub datalogger, and UgCS Terrain-Followingfor optimal performance.
Key advantages:
-
Detects metallic objects from hand-grenade size to large UXOs
-
Lightweight and self-folding design for field portability
-
Stable low-altitude flight with vegetation contact tolerance
-
Compatible with GeoHammer Pro and Geosoft Oasis Montaj for data processing
-
Perfect for UXO, archaeology, and infrastructure-survey applications

SENSYS MagDrone R1 FAQ
Thanks to its robust mount and low-clearance design, the R1 can fly as low as a few dozen centimeters above the ground. Contact with vegetation or small obstacles won’t cause drone instability or crashes, making it ideal for field UXO surveys.
The R1 detects metallic objects and some types of metal-cased landmines, but it is not intended for confirming landmine-free zones. It should be used only as a support tool for UXO and technical surveys in controlled operations.
For quick in-field analysis, use GeoHammer Pro. For large-scale or complex magnetic mapping projects, use Geosoft Oasis Montaj by Seequent.
