Trust & Security

This page is maintained by Remote Robotic to answer common security and privacy questions about remoterobotic.com, our quote tools, and the Mission Assistant. It describes current practices and the controls our hosting platform enables for us. It is editable app-owner content — not an independent certification or audit attestation.

Shared responsibility

How responsibility is split

Remote Robotic operates the application code, business logic, content, and customer-facing workflows. Our underlying hosting and backend platform (Lovable Cloud, backed by Supabase Auth, Postgres with row-level security, and Cloudflare for edge delivery) provides the infrastructure controls described below. Customers are responsible for keeping their own account credentials confidential and for the accuracy of mission details they submit through forms or the Mission Assistant.

Access & authentication

Who can sign in

Public pages (catalog, blog, policy, contact, quote forms) are available without an account. Internal portal areas under /portalare restricted to Remote Robotic staff using passcode and/or authenticated sessions enforced server-side. Authorization is enforced on the server, not by hiding UI in the browser.

Hosting & transport

Where data lives in transit

The site is served over HTTPS with TLS provided by our edge platform. Server-side logic runs in an isolated serverless runtime, and database access happens through a managed Postgres instance with row-level security policies on tables that hold submitted data.

Data we collect

What we collect and why

We collect the information you give us when you request a quote, contact sales, sign up for the newsletter, or interact with the Mission Assistant — typically your name, work email, organization, optional phone, and the mission details you provide. We also collect standard web analytics (page views, referrers, device class) to understand how the site is used. See our Privacy Policy for the authoritative description of personal-information handling.

Subprocessors & integrations

Services that support the site

We use third-party services to operate the site, including our hosting platform (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), our storefront platform (Shopify), Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and our AI provider for the Mission Assistant. Submitted form content may be relayed to these services strictly to deliver the requested functionality (for example, sending a quote request to our CRM/email tooling). We do not sell personal information.

Mission Assistant

How the AI advisor uses your input

Mission Assistant conversations are stored against a browser session so you can return to a previous thread. Conversation content and any contact details you share are used to recommend products from our catalog and to allow a Canadian sales engineer to follow up. Do not paste classified or otherwise sensitive operational information into the chat.

Retention & deletion

How long we keep your data

Lead and Mission Assistant submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your request and for normal business record-keeping. To request access to or deletion of your personal information, contact us using the address in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting an issue

Security & privacy contact

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability or a privacy issue affecting Remote Robotic, please contact us through the contact page. Include enough detail for us to reproduce the issue. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate before any public disclosure.
