Manufacturing division

We don't just deploy other people's hardware. We build our own.

AirMetal Robotics is the manufacturing division of Remote Robotic Systems. Remote Robotic Systems is a systems integrator — we supply, integrate, train, and sustain. AirMetal does the building, from a production facility in Kanata, Ontario.

The origin: why RRS stood up a manufacturing division

Remote Robotic Systems has supplied the Canadian Armed Forces since 2022. Working that closely with Canadian operators made one gap obvious: the platforms Canada depends on were designed and built somewhere else, and every spare, repair, and production decision sat outside the country.

Integration alone could not close that gap. So Remote Robotic Systems stood up a manufacturing division — AirMetal Robotics — to move real production capability and supply chain onto Canadian soil, rather than continuing to import finished goods.

What AirMetal is

AirMetal Robotics is the manufacturing division of Remote Robotic Systems, with engineering and production in Kanata, Ontario.

What licensed production means

Designed in Croatia. Built in Canada.

Orqa designs the MRM platforms in Croatia. AirMetal builds them in Canada under exclusive licence.

That distinction matters: the licence moves manufacturing capability and supply chain into Canada rather than importing finished goods. Production, build knowledge, and the industrial base sit here.

AirMetal also designs its own systems

Licensed production is one half of the division. AirMetal also designs its own systems, including the TacMesh family of tactical mesh networking payloads.

Buy. Partner. Build.

Three motions, one company — and the reason Remote Robotic Systems is more than an integrator.

01

Buy

We supply and integrate best-in-class platforms from global OEMs, so Canadian teams get proven capability now.

02

Partner

We license and partner to bring manufacturing capability and secure supply chain into Canada instead of importing finished goods.

03

Build

Through AirMetal Robotics, we build sovereign systems in Canada — licensed Orqa MRM platforms and AirMetal's own TacMesh payloads.
