The EchoLogger ECT D24S is a precision dual-frequency echosounder optimized for drone-mounted bathymetric and shallow-water survey missions. Designed for UAV integration, the D24S delivers high-resolution depth and backscatter data at 200 kHz and 450 kHz, enabling accurate measurements in ponds, rivers, coastal zones and vegetation-filled waters.
Specifically engineered for aerial deployment, the ECT D24S integrates easily with drone systems such as the DJI M300 RTK / M350 RTK and Matrice 400, and supports advanced workflows combining terrain-following altimetry, onboard data logging, and streamlined bathymetric processing.
Whether surveying flood-zones, shallow lakebeds, dredging sites or hydrology assets, the ECT D24S brings drone-based bathymetry within reach of professional survey teams — reducing cost, time and risk compared to traditional boat-borne setups.

EchoLogger ECT D24S FAQ
To effectively deploy the ECT D24S, you’ll need a UAV with a stable low-altitude hover capability and a payload capacity to carry approximately the 2.4 kg full system (sensor + mount + cables + housing). Integration with terrain-following altimeter and onboard computer (e.g., SkyHub) is recommended for shallow water accuracy
The dual-frequency 200 kHz / 450 kHz configuration enables the ECT D24S to operate in shallow environments (as shallow as ~0.15 m) and depths up to ~200 m depending on the frequency and substrate. It’s well-suited for lakes, rivers, flood zones, and vegetation-filled waters where conventional acoustic systems may struggle.
Ideal applications include bathymetric mapping of shallow water bodies, dredging and sediment monitoring, hydrology and flood-plain surveys, shallow river/pond depth mapping, and shoreline infrastructure inspection — especially when traditional crews cannot safely access the area.
